Over the next couple of months "8 schools and community groups across Middlesbrough are taking part in a special project for MAW24...to grow an exhibition!" This project is directed by curator Claire Feeley and creative practitioner Sue Loughlin.
The Auxiliary is inviting applications from Teesside based artists for an artist residency at Redbarn in Youghal, Ireland. The artist in residence can use the week for developing ideas, research or as a retreat to recharge their batteries in an idyllic rural location close to the sea.
— WHAT WE DO
The Auxiliary project space consists of two galleries, artist studios, a workshop and performance space. It is dedicated to the production and dissemination of experimental and sound art practices, through investigating local industrial heritage and the reimagining of Tees Valley as a site for invigorated creative industries.
